Job Description

This starts of course with doing the necessary investigative work and develop/utilise cutting edge NLP algorithms, but often it also involves putting the resulting models to work in a practical working environment, integrating with the existing toolset of the customer.

As an NLP Engineer at Wonka, your role is pivotal in developing AI-native applications tailored to meet the specific needs of our diverse clients. Within our specialized NLP Team, you will play a vital part in the design, construction, and maintenance of advanced data analytics and data science solutions. Let's delve into what this exciting role entails.


What you will be doing
As an NLP Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining applications that leverage not only classical NLP technologies, but also cutting edge Large Language Models depending on the need in the problem at hand. You will:

  • Be responsible for analyzing the functional requirements for various business challenges and designing solutions that make impact
  • Shed light on the existing IT infrastructure of clients and make sure your proposed solution fits well into this architecture
  • Extracting data from multiple sources and using tools to organize data and identify patterns
  • Help Data Scientists with providing them the right tools for the job to create performant and accurate ML Models
  • Work in a hybrid on-premise & cloud environment to put these ML Models into production, into robust data pipelines and process automations

Qualifications
A Data Science Engineer often acts as the key role in project teams, consistently interacting with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and End Users, both internally and at the client, to ensure that technology evolves in the correct direction. To succeed in this capacity, we are looking for propiles that meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in applied computer sciences, information technology sciences, engineering, mathematics or economy
  • Proven work experience in one of the fields below (please include details in your resume)
  • Technical knowledge in the following domains:
    • Containerized Services & REST API’s
    • Theoretical prinicples, strenghts & weaknesses of different Language AI principles: Neural Neworks, GAN’s, GPT, Embeddings,…
    • DevOps, MLOps and CI/CD principles
    • Basics of Machine Learning Techniques (Python, sklearn, pytorch)
  • Any other experience in the following areas is a big plus:
    • Front-end development skills to quickly prototype Web Apps (React or other)
    • Experience with an ML platform like Azure Machine Learning or Databricks MLflow
    • Data visualization (Power BI or other)
    • ETL and dimensional modeling principles
  • Mature, assertive, and dynamic personality with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willing to work in a rapidly changing environment and constantly on the lookout for a more efficient workflow in the entire journey from solution architecture to production-ready applications
