Responsibilities

• Create awareness about key strategic design choices, and architect paved roads, without knowing exactly what the future is

• Debug the most hairy challenges, including organizations and processes

Required qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in software development, solution engineering, and technical consulting; with expertise in architecting and rolling out new technology and solutions

• Excellent coding skills (C, Scala, Java, Python, Golang, etc.)

• Good understanding of cloud possibilities and limitations in the areas of distributed systems, load balancing and networking, massive data storage, and security

• Experience with big data technologies is a plus

• Proven innovative thinker who is sought out by co-workers for inspiration

• Proven experience with leading and coaching technical teams

• Has developed future-proof architectures without exactly knowing that the future is

• Highly proficient in spoken and written English; willingness to learn Dutch and/or French
